If you and your fellow owners are considering applying to the Association for Factoring Services, our Statement of Core Services provides information on the service we can offer.
Should you wish to discuss the matter further, please contact us in the first instance by phoning 0141 333 0404 or by emailing Charing Cross Housing Association. Following this discussion, the Association will forward an application form and Factoring Mandates to the owners for completion and return, together with a Factoring deposit and various documentation for the building. On receipt of the documentation, we will approach our Insurance Broker for details of the block buildings insurance premium that will be payable in accordance with the rebuildng value and if the owners are happy with this we will then inspect the building and submit a report to our Technical Services Committee for authorisation to provide a Factoring Service.
Before we can consider providing a Factoring Service, it is essential that all owners are in agreement about wanting our service and all owners must complete the Factoring Mandate and pay the Factoring deposit to the Association (returnable if we do decline to provide a Factoring Service).
When Committee has given authorisation to provide a Factoring Service, we will write to owners and ingather monthly standing order forms and payments for the buildings insurance premium (this is payable in advance by everyone). Once these have been received a date will be arranged for the service to commence.

The Association provides buildings insurance cover on a block basis and a premium quote will be supplied based on the reinstatement value of the tenement block. The onus is on the owners to provide the details of the current reinstatement value for the building and if this is not known the Association will obtain a quote for a survey in order to establish the valuation. Payment of the survey fee and the agreed annual buildings insurance premium is required upfront.
Excesses - All claims £250 except Subsidence which is £1000
All the above charges are reviewed annually.
Copy document charge is £50 + VAT
The factoring deposit is deducted from the first factoring invoice(s) issued.
