The Housing Management section performs a key role in responding to issues that affect the day to day lives of tenants.
The Housing Management Team is in place primarily to provide advice and assistance to tenants on various matters relating to the tenancy agreement e.g. condition of external common areas, anti-social behaviour, permissions (lodger, sub-letting), rent control and housing benefit. The team also administers the Association’s housing list and allocates void properties, liaises with the Council’s homeless casework services and provides housing advice to housing applicants.

What does Katie do? Katie joined the Association in November 2003 and has responsibility to deal with a high volume of workload on a variety of functions undertaken by the team. This includes selecting housing applicants for vacant properties, carrying out accompanied viewings, investigating and resolving anti social behaviour and neighbour disputes, managing rent arrears cases, providing advice and assistance to tenants on financial matters and signposting tenants to other specialists. Katie also assists Martin in more serious cases where legal action is being taken or being considered.
