The Scottish Government have introduced a new way of monitoring how well Registered Social Landlords (RSL's) like Charing Cross are performing and meeting the needs and expectations of their customers. This is called the Scottish Social Housing Charter. After a lengthy consultation the Charter came in to force in April 2012 with an implementation date of the 1st April 2013.
From 1st April 2013 the Association will need to collect and provide information on our performance against service standards and the outcomes set out in the Social Housing Charter.
These include outcomes like: -
Not only will this information need to be provided to the Scottish Housing Regulator, but also to the tenants of each landlord. In addition, landlords will need to agree with their tenants the ways in which their performance will be self assessed and to what level the Charter outcomes are being met.
If you would like more information on how you can get involved in the assessment of our services, or if you simply want more information on the Charter, please contact us.
Further information on the Charter can be obtained from the Scottish Housing Regulator's website by clicking on the following link.
