Meetings take place on a regular basis within the common rooms in our sheltered housing buildings between tenants and staff. The frequency of these meetings are controlled by tenants and the Association provides interpreters when required.
45 Arlington Street - April and October. May and November (Chinese Tenants)
110 Park Road - January, April, July and October. March and September (Chinese Tenants)
203 Pitt Street - January and July
The benefit of these meetings is that tenants have the chance to meet with staff from the Association to talk about specific issues they have in their own buildings. In addition they can hear about what is going on in their building, assess and grade how well the Association is doing on the housing support service, and, discuss what plans the Association may have on subjects like maintenance contracts, painting, heating replacements, etc.
An agenda is received by all tenants prior to each meeting and this agenda provides information to tenants on what it is that is planned to be discussed. Tenants can then choose whether or not they wish to come along.
A minute of meetings that take place is produced after each meeting and copies of minutes are forwarded to all tenants in a format that they can understand.
